General CBD oil dosage instructions for dosing with 5% strength CBD oil.

  • Note! If you are using 10% CBD oil, you can halve the dosage.
  • If you are using 20% strength CBD oil, divide the number of drops by four to get the equivalent milligram amount of CBD as in the 5% table.

Calculating the exact dosage of CBD oil

If the CBD content of CBD oil is not specified in milligrams, you can easily calculate it yourself using the following formulas:

Milligrams per milliliter:
Total CBD amount (in milligrams) ÷ Bottle size (in milliliters) = CBD concentration (mg/ml)
5% CBD oil (10 ml bottle) 500 (mg) ÷ 10 (ml) = 50 mg of CBD per milliliter

Milligrams per drop:
Total CBD amount (mg) ÷ Number of drops = CBD concentration per drop. Example:
10 ml 5% CBD oil with 200 drops in total
(typically a 10 ml bottle contains about 200 drops).
500 (mg) ÷ 200 (drops) = 2.5 mg of CBD per drop
